At Toronto Rehab, we are committed to delivering excellent patient care so that we can produce the best possible outcomes for patients and their families, which for some may mean returning to work, going home or back to school or being able to pick up where they left off before their illness or injury. For others, it means living independently or working toward a long-term recovery and transition to the community. This means we are always looking for new and better ways to rehabiliate patients so they can maximize their lives.

We believe that the ongoing evaluation of our work is critical to its improvement. This is why we track a number of key patient care and safety indicators, including infection rates, fall rates and medication errors to make sure that our patients are as safe and secure as they can be during their stay with us. We also monitor improvements in physical functioning to ensure that the care patients receive at Toronto Rehab makes a real and positive difference in their lives. And, we use feedback collected through satisfaction surveys to tell us how well our patients and their family members think we are doing in meeting their needs during the recovery process and what areas require improvement.

Every one of these tools and indicators plays an important role in helping us to improve the quality and safety of patient care at Toronto Rehab. We use the results to help inform the development of new models of care and best practices, and to support the acceleration of research into practice.
